Week 2 Protests

Round 1:Q5
Chris of the Frayed Naughts protested "$2.50" for 2 pts, and "$1.50" (instead of "$1.25" for tax increase per carton of cigarettes). Protest DENIED; we have a smoker on our team who verified the correct answer.
Round 2:Q2
Craig or the Cellar Rats protested Copeland for 2pts, and Ruby for 1pt ("They are in the same office"). Protest DENIED; although Copeland practises law out of the same office, Ruby is the famous one (and Copeland is primarily a criminal lawyer rather than a civil liberties specialist).
Round 6:Q10
Someone at Kilgours protested Dr. Zhivago and Lara for 2pts.
Ditto for John W. (I think) of M.I.5.
Also Richard of Frayed Naughts for 2pts.
And Debbie of Forza Azzurri.
Protests GRANTED; begrudgingly as the question referred to Doctor Zhivago. A more specific Yuri is a superior answer.
Round 8:Q3
Brian of Unnatural Axxe protested "Lord Kitchener" for 2pts and "Elliot" for 1pt. (for "first Governor-General of India"). Protest DENIED. Warren Hastings was the first G-G of India.
Bob of the Misplaced Modifiers protested "Warren Hastings". Protest GRANTED (typing error on question sheet).
Round 8:Q6
Marjorie of M.I.5 protested "Hill Towns" (for "Hill Stations") for 2pts. Protest DENIED. No one refers to those places as Hill Towns; they are Hill Stations.
Round 8:Q7
John of the Cellar Rats protested "Prison for Soldiers" (for "Prison where British were held") for 2pts. Protest GRANTED; again, the inference from the question is that a "Black Hole" would be a prison. We wanted the discerning feature that British subjects were held there.
Round 9:Q3
Mike of the Cellar Rats protested "Indian tiger" for 2pts, and "Bengal Tiger" for 1pt (instead of "Siberian Tiger"). Protest DENIED. Bengal Tigers have not been stable; they have been in decline.
Round 9:Q6
Jim of Forza Azzurri protested "Leatherback" (instead of "Leatherneck") for 2pts. Protest GRANTED. This was a typing error.
